Welcome!
Established in 1985, our NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) unit is one of the most successful in the Fort Bend Area:
- Consistently receives highest ranking available in competitions/inspections
- Reflects the diversity of the student body
- Several cadets have received appointments to military academies
- One of 16 Units Statewide invited to the 2/25/2011 Texas State Competition in College Station
- Cadet Lt. Cmdr. Christine LoPiccolo awarded the Joseph C. Gilliam Academic Achievement Award at Texas State NJROTC Competition 2/25/2011
- Academic Team advanced to level III in the 2010 -2011 Navy Academic Bowl
Our Unit is a positive reflection on the Navy, as cadets participate in many activities:
- Alzheimer’s Memory Walk
- Ft. Bend Education Foundation’s annual International Festival
- Guarding the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall
- Color Guard participation in many school/community/civic events
- Feed the Vets program at Houston V.A. Hospital
- Marine Moms Food Drive
Our Unit is a vital part of the CHS campus, and many of the cadets are involved in other extracurricular activities, such as sports, band, choir, and National Honor Society and the Global Studies Academy. Clements is the only exemplary-rated high school in Fort Bend ISD, the 4th largest school district in Texas. Clements ranks 319th in a 2010 list of top high schools in America
The NJROTC centers on building leadership and excelling in citizenship. By choosing NJROTC as an elective, your child will gain/learn:
